Honda 50 Run

All roads led to Red Boys Emyvale on Sunday last for the first ever Honda Run in Emyvale organised by Donagh Development Association in conjunction with Declan Mc Geough Honda enthusiast and his team of organisers. With the glorious sunshine huge numbers of people from as far as Killarney, Mayo and Dublin flocked to the riverside in Emyvale to see in excess of 150 Honda's take off on their run which took them 50 mile around the scenic roads of North Monaghan.

The organising committee would like to thank Declan Mc Geough and his organisers for all their help in making this event such a huge successs. We would also like to thank our sponsors, Clerkin & Co. Accountants & Auditors, John's Plaice, Francie Mc Quaid Tyres, Silver Hill Foods, G&G Centra, Damien Meehan Butcher, The Red Boy's, Universal Graphics, Sean mc Kenna Auto Mc K Ltd, the catering staff, ticket sellers, stewards, the photographers, the video crew and the Garda. Most of all we would like to thank the Honda enthusiasts themselves for turning out in such large numbers in making this a very memorable event. The proceeds from this event is going to help to construct the walkway around Emy Lake.

Honda Run

Honda Runs are all the rage and anyone who is anyone owns a Honda. Every weekend
there is a Honda Run somewhere in the region and hundreds of Honda owners arrive
to take part and enjoy the craic which goes along with it. There is an entry fee,
which is always given to some worthy project, and there is going to be a Honda Run
from Emyvale to raise money for Donagh Development Association to progress their
project of the Walk around Emy Lake.

This is the ‘First Ever’ Honda 50, 70, 90, Step-Thru Run, according to the organisers
and it will be held on Sunday, June 7th 2009. We will give you more details of Assembly
Point, Registration time and route as soon as this information comes to us.

Also, on the day, there will be a Raffle for a Honda, as shown below, and this could
be your opportunity to get your wheels and join the craze.

There is sure to be a big crowd participating in this Run and we look forward to
a great day. Hope you can join us.

This could be yours!
It is an ideal way of beating the recession as running costs are low and you will be doing your bit for carbon footsteps and the environment.
